Hi everyone.

well I found out yesterday I am pregnant at 9dpo tested again this morning just to make sure and definitely pregnant. I have had 2 CP and 1 MMC within last 12 months. The GP prescribed me the progesterone suppositories (as advised from the recurrent miscarriage team at hospital) today so I have had 400mg already this morning and another 400mg tonight until 16 weeks.
i have read on the packet about side effects mostly dizziness and extreme fatigue. I am dreading it as I work full time and 2 other children. Can anyone share their experience with it please.

I also dont want to keep on testing because my mental health can’t take it however if I have another CP will I even know ? will the progesterone stop the bleeding ?

thank you xxx

Hello Joleyjojo, I have also suffered an MMC and two chemicals and one if my current medications is progesterone. I am currently quite newly pregnant too and I am going to be honest here and say I am indeed absolutely exhausted! I don't have other children but i do have a very full on job so it isnt easy. That said, I am not suffering from constant or extreme sickness, I have some but it could be a lot worse so i guess one cant have everything and I'm also on steroids so it is probably masking some sickness.
On the question of whether the progesterone will stop any bleeding, it might, it appears to be the case for some but not others. I think as someone said to me, it is just a case if one day at a time. Hope it goes realky well for you x

I had progesterone from 3 days of finding out to 16 week, im now 18 weeks!
Heres my experience:
It did make me tired, but not to the point where i couldnt function, it was more i might fall asleep from around 730. Best thing ever when it come to a good night sleep, i had no dizziness at all!
I DID have bleeding.. at 13 weeks and 2 days. It was a SCH, im still losing a bit of brown discharge but its nothing im worried about at this point😅
I had to take them twice a day, once in a morning and once in the afternoon, get ready for some messiness in your underwear. Theyre a pain for the mess. You do tend to get used to how you feel on them.
I had 3 miscarriages at around 6 weeks and i have a healthy little boy on the way thanks to progesterone!
It will not stop bleeding or mask a miscarriage im afraid, it just helps to maintain a pregnancy. Its not 100% same with any medication, but you just have to think positively! Good luck OP!

Thank you. I am 11dpo today and yesterday I felt so pregnant sick, dizzy, headache, sore boobs. Today I don’t I just cannot get excited. I have tested and it’s still positive and is darker than yesterday morning but I thought would be darker I just don’t know.

I really want to stop testing but scared if I have a Chemical I won’t know.

thanks for you replies here is to healthy pregnancies and baby’s. I don’t know how to relieve the anxiety it’s consuming me x

It’s hard to say what was a pregnancy or progesterone symptom tbh. I took mine from egg collection to 16w. I was tired (napped most days) and nauseous but I’d put that down to first trimester symptoms not progesterone.
I wasn’t ever dizzy.
i struggled with bloating, wind and constipation which is pretty standard for progesterone and pregnancy so just up your fibre intake and use fybrogel if needed.

I’ve had a MMC and two ectopics. I’m now 18w and this is the only time I was given progesterone.
