I didn't have a snuzpod so don't know how big they are. But I would think generally babies have to stop using Next to Mes because they've learned to sit up rather than they've outgrown them in length. You can Google growth charts online and see at what age a baby would be too long for a snuzpod if you like.

Things to consider are do you want to use a duvet in the bed for yourself? If so you need to have an option to zip the side of the next to me up so the baby is separated from you and can't be smothered by your duvet. Also consider the height of your mattress - will the next to me mattress be the same height or a bit lower? It shouldn't be higher.

Also I'd recommend buying secondhand locally. They are always getting sold on. Then you only need a new mattress and sheets.

I have a Babylo Snuggle Cuddle co sleeper and a Snuzpod. A friend gave me the Snuzpod after I'd already purchased the Babylo, so used the Snuzpod downstairs.

The Snuzpod is long, but very narrow. My baby didn't like the rocking motion in it, it rocks even when baby moves by themselves so he would wake himself up with movement. For that reason, we didn't use it for very long. However, I can imagine it would be outgrown width wise pretty early on as they begin to like moving a lot in their sleep.

My DS is in 85th percentile for height and didn't outgrow the Babylo in length as such, very close, but had about 4 inches above his head left in it when we stopped using it😅 Had to move to cot when he was getting up on hands and knees which wasn't until just over 8 months. So we got fairly good mileage out of it I think!

We had the Tutti Bambini CoZee which was able great size but they only last up to 3 months if that.

I wanted a snuzpod because we didn’t have much space, but we ended up with a donated Next2Me. I didn’t really like it but persevered! Still think the snuzpod looks better.

it lasted about 8 months, until DC were sitting up themselves. They went quite easily into the large cot in another room.

We got the next to me forever, it does up until age 4 ☺️
