Miscarriage or successful pregnancy?

Hi all,

My Husband and I have been trying to conceive our second child for the past 7 months, and I’ve finally received a positive result. Before my first born, I had two early miscarriages and I’m so scared it’s happening again.

I normally have around 28 day cycle. I tested on day 26 and it was negative. I didn’t bother testing again as I thought I had missed out this month but I still hadn’t gotten my period after day 32 so I tested again and got a positive. It wasn’t that dark though, I’ll show you the results. Top one is a test I took on day 32, and bottom one was taken 2 days later.

Has this happened to anyone before? With my first child and even my two miscarriages, I had always tested positive days before my period was due.

thanks

I'm sorry to hear of your previous losses I'm sure that add even more worry to an already worrying time!!

Unless you tracked ovulation you can't be sure what dpo you are. Even then youll never know when the embryo implanted and there for when HGC started being produced and doubling untill it was high enough to show in urine. So alot of factors effecting when you will get a positive result.

Congratulations, hoping for a successful pregnancy for you 😊

Thanks so much! That’s reassuring! I have noticed that since giving birth my periods haven’t always been consistent so it may have been that ovulation / implantation was later. I attended my GP today to gets bloods and I’ll go again in 2 days time to make sure they are going up, hoping for the best 😊
