I’m sorry. Can you ring up your EPU? X

bluebella2 · 08/06/2025 09:38

I hope you're ok, it's so scary bleeding early pregnancy. I've had bleeding with loss and bleeding with no loss, so it's hard to know. Definitely call your EPU, good luck x

TTCjourneya · 08/06/2025 09:54

I’m in work today so I will try get their number to call tomorrow x

Thanks I’ve not had this with my 2 previous pregnancy’s so it seems quite a shock although it can be normal just not so sure with it being bright red 😫

If its bright red with clots and cramps it can be a worrying sign. Please ring your doctor (usually you cant self refer to EPAU) you'll be slipping the middle man and they will be able to refer you. Usually EPAU dont see you until 6+ weeks, they may just say wait and see.

Im sorry you're going through this 💐

I can’t find any numbers to call EPU at my local hospital

Call the hospital reception and they should transfer you. How are you feeling now? Xx

Spoke to midwife as I’m closer to 5 weeks than 6 nothing they can do to reassure me just said if bleed gets heavy a&e or any side pains a&e I’ve passed a small clot but other than that only light cramps in my back I’ve had the cramps in previous pregnancy just not bleeding

It’s rubbish OP but I don’t think there’s much that can be done this early other than wait and see what happens. If it stops you could try another test in a few days? I’ve had bleeding in early pregnancy that was fine but the EPU won’t do much at this stage unless there is severe bleeding or pain as on a scan there wouldn’t be much to see. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

1 in 4 women bleed in pregnancy, it’s not as unusual as you think and doesn’t always mean MC. It can go either way - unfortunately I think all you can do is see how things go over the next few days and ask for an early scan with your EPAU.

Ive bled in 4 of mine, 3 ended in loss/ectopic but ive bled the most with my current and I’m 18w now - including bright red in both 1st and 2nd trimester.
hope you get some reassuring news in the next week x

I know it’s devastating 😭 but we can only wait and see what happens once the bleed stops now and pray all is ok but I’m not so sure it will be if I’m honest got a bad feeling x

Thank you I don’t think it’s looking too good as it has gotten heavier but if the bleeding stops I will try and test again in a few days see what it’s saying but the test today had gone lighter than Thursday so not got much hope of baba sticking it out 😢
