6 weeks pregnant, not sure what to do about it

I'm 42 years old, with one child who is 7 years old, and I have a husband, who can be a bit difficult at times! He has ADD. I recently returned to my homeland (France) after 17 years abroad, but I haven't quite settled there; I struggle to feel at home.
I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant, but I don't feel good about having a baby. However, it wasn't an accident. Now I'm wondering if I just wanted to find out if I’m fertile...
Having one more child might make me feel even more alienated. I’ve been feeling the desire to travel and try new things. Am I spoiled? What to do!?

Let the news settle a little before making any decisions. You are only very newly pregnant.
Can you travel with children - not so easily, but certainly. Can you make the life you want with your children but without the husband?

Thanks. I feel like I don’t have the energy for two children. I wanted to do professional personal projects and everything will be compromised.

There’s a phenomenon whereby even parents who had ivf get “buyers remorse” when they finally get pregnant.
Give yourself a bit of time to process it

Me and my DP was trying for almost a year after 3 miscarriages and we fell pregnant. Around 6 - 8 weeks i kept waking up thinking what the F have i done. I dont want a child? I dont want to go through this shit?!

Im 17 weeks and realised its definitely what i want and im so excited for him to arrive! Sometimes it can be difficult to wrap your head around pregnancy especially if you already have children.

Im glad i carried on and didnt let the bad thoughts get in the way! Let it all the feelings settle before you jump to anything major. Good luck

Exactly my thoughts! Is it your first baby though? I had a baby 7 years ago.
After so much work I can imagine the confusion of your feelings. 💜

Yes it is😄

But like i said previously, it must be hard to wrap your head around it especially if you have other children
