I'm having some really distressing dreams about my pregnancy just now, I'm nearly 25 weeks and I don't remember having any last time.
They are really upsetting and graphic.
One I had last night is worrying me in case its prophetic as it felt so real.

I had some real graphic dreams too but they've stopped now. Easy to say but try and not worry.

I had the most graphic dreams/nightmares when i was pregnant - one I had was of DH cheating, it was so real i woke up then woke him up to ask him if it was true. Was beside myself.

Your hormones are everywhere, your brain is on full 'chat' it probably isn't winding down properly at bedtime. I would wake up tired as my dreams were so vivd I felt like I had lived them, therefore hadn't slept.

None of mine were prophetic btw as in none of them came true.

I'm really shocked at the things my brain thinks about when I am not awake to keep an eye on it!
I've had the cheating partner ones too, DP gets upset about them too!

I had lots of awful dreams when PG with DS. The cheating partner, people dying, all sorts.

This time I am having VERY vivid sex dreams

TheProvincialLady · 22/05/2008 11:06

Oh I am having these too and I also did with DS. It is very annoying and disturbing isn't it? I found that I broke the cycle a few days ago by putting a very silly book next to the bed, that I can read when I have had a nightmare. I have only done it once but it has worked. I was having a nightmare every night but haven't had one in a week now.

Oh thanks for the tip, I'll try that. Its just really upsetting when you ahve these vivid dreams that then stay with you all day, if you know what I mean.

The last time I had a really awful dream that woke me in the middle of the night I really deliberately didn't let myself replay over and over. Usually when I wake up from a nightmare it keeps re-running in my head, but this time, as soon as the images popped back into my head I just kept pushing it away from me, and I found when I woke up properly in the morning, it really didn't stay with me all day like they do normally. It's not easy because it feels like it's sort of lurking behind your eyelids, but I haven't had another one since.
