Just trying to manage my expectations. Currently 38weeks with my second. My bile acids peaked at 21 at 35 weeks. I was told by my consultant if they didn't rise I'd get a sweep at 39 weeks and booked for induction. Since then, every blood test my levels have been above 10. Is it likely that they might not induce me as my levels have been so low since?

Did you start any treatment that would have reduced them? My understanding is that once you've been diagnosed that doesn't change despite levels fluctuating. Id check at your next appointment for clarity.

Do you take some medication? I had it, I took medication (can’t remember the name) and I was monitored twice a week every week and was induced at 38weeks? This was 9years ago though!!x

Bile acids peaked at 77 and urso brought them down nearly as low as yours. Was still recommended (although via planned section which possibly changed things) at 39 weeks. Icp support fb group was really helpful for me x

Thanks all
I wasnt prescribed any medication, just advised what lotions to use and antihistamines to take. To be honest I still have the itch so my symptoms haven't changed. It's just so confusing to me how if id never been tested at 35 weeks, they'd never know.
