11 weeks no energy

I’m 11 weeks pregnant with 3rd baby and the past 5 weeks Iv had zero energy. I could sleep for 20 hours a day if I was allowed lol. I wasn’t like this with my other two but it was 10 years ago since my last baby and I’m 37 now. Any tips on getting a bit of energy because I can’t imagine being like this the rest of my pregnancy. My partner has been absolutely amazing during this and fully supportive and helpful with the other two.

Hi,
Congratulations on 3rd pregnancy.

You might have something called "fatigue in pregnancy"
My sympathetic (lady) GP diagnosed it.
I had it with my 2nd and I was similar age (36)
I remember going to bed at 7.00 every night, I could hardly hold my head up.

It did pass though and by the 4th or 5th month I felt normal again. Well you know, normally tired and pregnant 😊

Had a 3rd baby at aged 39 and was fine, no fatigue at all. Although I did have high blood pressure and had to bed rest a lot.
You can't win!!

So hopefully, this will pass with you in another month or so but I would still advise go to GP or midwife and get checked out.

Good luck and I hope all goes well Flowers

Congratulations on baby no 3 OP. I'm 30 weeks with no 3 and I was wiped out from about 9 weeks until 16 weeks, no amount of sleep I got felt like enough. I never managed to find anything that worked but I came out the other side sort of mid second trimester. I hope it passes for you soon too - pregnancy can be rough!

Aw, I really feel for you. I was absolutely shattered throughout the first trimester and into the second. I really struggled to function and just wanted to sleep. Mine did ease off at about 16 weeks, so it can get better. x

8-12 weeks was definitely the worst for me. I ended up telling my work at 10+6 because I was so tired after a crazy two weeks at work that I could barely stand up from exhaustion and needed to tell them that I couldn't do another week like that!
