Struggling with a cold

I'm 28w5d and have had a cold for almost a week now. It started off just a sore throat on Wednesday, was hoping that would go away but instead was hit with a stuffy nose, itchy ears, a cough that wouldn't go away, and body aches. A bad cold, but not flu, I don't think, since I don't have a fever or headache and it didn't hit suddenly. The sore throat was kind of the starting point.

I'm a lot better now, but still have a stuffy nose and my ears sometimes have a shooting pain, they're still really itchy and one is blocked. I have some ear drops from a previous ear infection a few weeks ago that I might try, but it's the stuffy nose getting to me. Every time I lie down to sleep, one nose always gets blocked up, sometimes both and I end up mouth breathing, but this just dries up my throat and brings the cough back. My throats already still a little sore, the cough has just (mostly) gone.

I've been off work since Friday because of this and was hoping to go back soon - I've been off a lot this pregnancy, especially the first trimester! But I think another day or two of rest wouldn't hurt, mostly because I just can't sleep. Does anyone have any experience? I haven't yet been to the GP or pharmacy with it being the weekend and I just didn't have the energy today to go to the pharmacy.

I feel for you 😫 I had awful colds during my pregnancy earlier this year.
If you’re blocked up and think it might be sinusitis then antibiotics can work (they usually don’t recommend antibiotics for sinusitis but the last couple of times I’ve had it they’ve really helped shift it).
My midwife said you can use olbas oil on a tissue during pregnancy as well and to sleep with your head as elevated as you can.
All my sympathy though, you’re doing amazing to be growing a tiny human and battling a cold! Hope you feel better.
