Bleeding at 6 weeks

Just turned 6 weeks and had bright red bleeding yesterday morning with tiny clots, the max size of a pumpkin seed. It wasn’t heavy enough to go on a pad and tailed off by lunchtime to pale pink tinged CM the rest of the day and overnight. I spent the day resting.

This morning I had more red blood and more tiny clots, which again tailed off in a couple of hours to pale pink. Then I popped to the shops and felt a tiny gush when getting out of the car once home and it was enough to go onto my pad but still really light. It’s tailed off and is back to pink again now. I don’t have massive pregnancy symptoms but I didn’t have many to begin with and only ever had mild symptoms with my first DC so it’s hard to say. Maybe slight decrease in symptoms? Feeling really tired though.

I have a scan with EPU tomorrow so I know only time will tell but has anyone had similar bleeding and had a positive outcome? Want to feel hopeful but can’t help but fear the worst.

Not me personally but i read a lot and I mean a lot of posts where bleeding is common in first trimester.
Sometimes there can be an area within the uterus that bleeds during pregnancy and often can be seen on scan and will be identified as the reason for the bleed.
This can continue throughout the first trimester and also throughout the whole pregnancy.
So bleeding can be normal, but should always be checked by a health professional.
I hope this gives you some reassurance, although you won't really know until the scan, even then the results from scan can be inconclusive and leave you with more anxiety.
Sending hugs hunny and hoping it's all good news for you at scan

This hasn't happened to me, but just wanted to say good luck with your scan ❤️

I didn't have a positive outcome but I read about people that did. I know it's so unsettling but don't give up hope just yet.

Good luck op. It’s a scary time but bleeding does not always equal a bad outcome. I had heavy bleeds in both my successful pregnancies. Try and rest

Ive had 4 pregnancies.

Major bleed with them all. Bright red with small clots, The first 3 turned to miscarriages and the 4th, well we're still going strong at 16 weeks with a baby boy.

It can go both ways, good luck with your scan x

I had similar at 7/8 weeks with my first. It continued on and off until about 16 weeks but never progressed to anything beyond that and my son is now 3

I had bad bleeding at 8 weeks like a full on period and it was a hematoma, I'm now 20 weeks with twins so it can be normal!

Also had a few losses. With each loss I had really bad cramps but not with the bleed. Good luck. It so scary

Just in case anyone comes across this post and wants to know the outcome - it’s been confirmed I’m miscarrying.

I'm so sorry. I lost my baby girl at 16 weeks. Her brother was born nearly 1 year later. It's so hard but stay strong ❤️
