7 weeks pregnant and bed bound

Hi all,

I’ve never done a post before but in need of some reassurance or positivity.
I’m 7 weeks +4 days pregnant with baby number 2. Our daughter is 7.
Like I was with her, I’m feeling extremely ill (vomiting and nausea 24/7 and have been bed bound for the past 8 days.

One of the reasons it took us so long to decide whether to have another baba or not was because of how ill I was with our first as these symptoms lasted for the entire duration of my pregnancy and it got me into a bad place physically and emotionally as I couldn’t work (I was nursing at the time) and I basically just existed in bed day and night.

Now I’m pregnant (following a couple of miscarriages) I’m of course grateful, but if I’m honest, I feel overwhelmingly worried that I’ll have this sickness for the whole time again and I don’t know how to cope with it.

I can already notice the shine from my personality has gone and I’m just existing in bed, eating, sleeping and vomiting.

Any wise words or reassurance would be really appreciated as I’m really struggling physically and emotionally at the idea and of being this unwell for months on end.

Ask your doctor for xonvea- it has saved me!

Please go to your GP and ask for anti emetics. It helps so much and it isn’t worth feeling so unwell you can make it easier

Thanks both. I’ve been prescribed cyclizine but it’s not doing anything. Apparently Xonvea isn’t readily available in Wales, but I will ask about it tomorrow with the GP thank you.
