Freaking out after IVF Beta 1 results

Hi!

After years of trying to conceive without success, I began my first round of IVF in May 2025. I had one embryo transferred on the 19th of May and found out the following Monday that it had worked, thanks to a positive home pregnancy test. I continued testing daily and was reassured to see the lines gradually getting darker.
I had my first beta blood test at my IVF clinic on Saturday, 31st May. They said they like to see an hCG level of 200 or above 12 days after transfer - mine came back at 190. While they reassured me that this is still considered a positive result, and I’m returning on Monday for a second beta to check that it’s rising as expected, I can’t help but feel anxious that it wasn’t quite where they hoped it would be.
Adding to my worry, I’ve had some light spotting on and off for the past five days - nothing heavy, just pink and not a steady flow. I’m hoping it’s related to the Cyclogest pessaries, but it’s hard not to spiral and worry that things aren’t progressing the way they should.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? I’m really hoping to hear some reassuring stories right now.

Didn’t want to read and run. I also had 1 round of IVF which was fortunately successful. Cyclogest caused a pinkish discharge for me the whole time I used them.
I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for good news at your next blood test.

Please DO NOT worry for the sake of 10miu.
these tests often cause more worry in the end and it’s really not a perfect science with it,
people’s hcg ranges wildly.
Also the doubling range is 48-72 hours - not 48 explicitly. Anything 70% above in 2 days is fine. People often worry it’s not exactly doubled and worries people unnecessarily. Good luck for next one. Hope your first scan isn’t too far away - that will give you much more of a definitive answer on how it’s going.

ive bled in all my pregnancies so to rule out any panic and cervical irritation I used my pessaries rectally which was actually preferred by the ivf clinic anyway. Maybe try this? Not as bad as you think once you get used to it!

Thank you both! Just had my second blood test done and currently waiting for results - hoping everything is okay!

I've done my pessary rectally this morning so we'll see if that helps with the spotting - it's nice to hear that it's not just me!

Just an update- 2nd beta today came back at 592! So more than doubled and the relief is amazing.

Still spotting but I think I just need to stop overthinking it
