Clear Blue Plus Test Q

Hi!

I've only taken the one test at 12DPO. Would really appreciate any opinions please...

It came up like this straight away, but has dried much fainter. This is a 25mu sensitivity test. If anyone has any comparisons on this particular test I'd appreciate that too.

I had some light pink/brown spotting and bit of mucus 2 days ago, and also it's now and again super faint peach when I wipe.

Too late to be implant bleeding? Wondering if I'm pregnant or it's likely to just go lighter/ a chemical. Xx

Looks like a bfp to me! Well done. Test again with a different type to make sure x

Anonowl · 31/05/2025 11:08

Thanks @mummyto9angels ! What do you make of the test drying much lighter please? I thought they dried darker xx

I don't think it matters to be honest as they say nit to read the result after a certain time if I remember correctly

AiRoo · 01/06/2025 04:19

Morning,

I think that’s looking like a good BFP for 12 DPO on a 25miu sensitivity test.

mine dried lighter this pregnancy until about 19 DPO when they stayed dark.

in March my tests didn’t really darken and I MC just shy of 7 weeks. Have found my tests for you to compare.

first was same test same DPO as yours.
second was same test at 15 DPO - not much progression.

third, this pregnancy, same test at 16 DPO. So obviously much better. Hoping it stays that way!

take another in 3 days if you can hold out and I’ll bet you see it darken- congratulations!!! Xx

@AiRoo omg that is so kind to have sent these, thank you for taking the time! That's so reassuring! I wish I'd used frer.. the shop didn't have any so now I'm stuck on the clear blue train! 😂

This one is from today which is 13DPO. I'll start taking more days apart as don't think I can see any progression. Xx

@Anonowl oh you’re welcome! The clear clue train has always been ok for me as I can never get hold of frer, I’m too impatient to wait for amazon!

of course there’s always the caveat of hydration levels, time of day, especially before your expected period day. But if you stick to the same brand you’re pretty safe.

I took the liberty of doing a comparison pic (I do it often of mine) but I’m not neurotic in the slightest 😬

for one day apart I think you can see progression ….

exciting times!! X

Just updating the thread and I'm 15DPO today. The line doesn't appear to have progressed much again.

Look at your 12dpo and this latest one. There is clearly progression.

Anonowl · 02/06/2025 06:37

Thanks @Uphighseesky . I've put them together and it does look like slight progress.. I think I'm more worried that the line isn't super dark by now.

(I've had 5 early mcs that follow this particular pattern... Always slow to develop on the scan). Xx

I think the test looks great! Please remember that a positive test is a positive test- it doesn’t matter how dark the line is. My first pregnancy my test was dark from the get go. My second pregnancy the line was so faint that it looked like an evap. The line never got darker, no matter how many tests I took and what time of the day I took them at. I convinced myself that it was a chemical pregnancy and then got scolded by my midwife for that as she said they don’t take any interest in the darkness of the test- only interested in a positive. My baby is now over a year old, the faint tests didn’t mean anything.

Anonowl · 02/06/2025 07:50

@AiRoo hey just going back to your test pics .. I think I might have read your comment wrong! Did you mean the two lighter tests were when you mc'd? And the 16DPO was the dark one where you're still pregnant? My 15DPO isnt anywhere near that dark line :-( Looks more like your second pic when you MC'd If I've read it right xx

mummyto9angels · 02/06/2025 07:50

Congratulations it is looking much stronger x

Uphighseesky · 02/06/2025 07:53

@Anonowl please don't compare your tests to someone else's. HCG levels vary from person to person, as do hydration levels. You have a good positive test.

AiRoo · 02/06/2025 08:45

@Anonowl yes correct, the lighter ones are where I miscarried and the darker one is this current pregnancy.

but as @Uphighseesky said, comparing is not the best idea, we’re all different and every pregnancy is different. It’s not an exact science, it’s not any kind of science actually!

yes my tests are darker this time around but I’ve read that that doesn’t actually mean anything and I could still miscarry, and in the same breath I’ve read some people have lighter tests and go full term.

from all of my trawling of netmums I’ve mainly taken away that a positive test is a positive test and that’s all that matters. We can’t predict or control the outcome. My non progressing tests did prepare me mentally for the outcome that I think I knew deep down, but I always held hope.

as horrible as it is, it’s just the worst waiting game in history. I’m 5+4 today and there’s still plenty of time for it all to come crashing down, but got to stay positive. (Like your tests)

today were pregnant and that’s all we can focus on. Praying for sticky babies for us both xx

Anonowl · 02/06/2025 10:47

Thanks @AiRoo ❤️ Will you book an early scan?

I've had one natural successful pregnancy and this is my 8th pregnancy. Totally appreciate the sentiment of tests.. this is just purely anecdotal from my own experience. Every single time my tests were faint, I miscarried between 5-10 weeks. The only time it was dark, I had my son.

That said, I used FRER and so these clear blues aren't comparable. I always had super faint lines with clear blues in the past and darker with frer. Could be encouraging.

But yea, there's a HCG correlation with the lines. A fabulous Reddit post somewhere where a scientist has over 500 examples. Xx

@Anonowl i actually have one booked on Thursday evening.

then I have an nhs booked on the 19th June, please god that I make it that far!

im on progesterone pessaries this time. Hoping it helps.

im very sorry to read of your losses. It’s so so tough. I’m glad you got your son. 🩵

we have an 18 month old, my wife carried him and we’ve used the same donor for this baby and the two we lost. I adore our son, obviously, but I want to experience it from the biological side too xx

RogueApple · 02/06/2025 13:20

It's very evidently positive OP. Comparisons won't help as people have different experiences, different hormones and different cycles.

congratulations!

Anonowl · 02/06/2025 14:09

@AiRoo what a story ❤️... I'll be thinking of you all on Thursday xx

@Anonowl thank you so much.

will let you know how it goes. Please update me on your journey too xx

Anonowl · 05/06/2025 12:01

@AiRoo good luck for tonight xx

OP posts:
AiRoo · 05/06/2025 12:06

@Anonowl oh my goodness, thank you for remembering! I’m actually petrified.

how’re you doing? X

AiRoo · 06/06/2025 02:45

@Anonowl
so scan wasn’t great, sac is measuring 5 weeks, not 6 and considering my wife and I use a private donor I’m pretty sure on dates and ovulation, so unlikely I’m a whole week out.

the scan was rushed and anything but reassuring, felt more like they wanted my £50 and wanted me out.

I have an nhs scan in 2 weeks but it’s looking like a blighted ovum and miscarriage number 3 for me….. devastated x

Anonowl · 06/06/2025 16:37

@AiRoo I'm so sorry to hear this 😞. It's so tough and just not fair. Sending hugs xxx

OP posts:
AiRoo · 10/06/2025 05:05

@Anonowl how’re you getting on?

I had an nhs scan yesterday and there was a heartbeat!

so that private reassurance scan was anything but reassuring! X
