12 weeks pregnant - tummy pain

I’m 12 weeks pregnant and for the past 2 nights have had pain across my tummy. I would say probably from where my belly button is all the way down to my womb.

It’s more like a ‘wave’ of pain that kind of shoots across my stomach and then goes, but I have it again a few minutes later.

Is this normal?!
I had a scan at 5 weeks and they said everything looked to be in the correct place. I don’t have my 12 week scan until next week.

I had similar, I think it may be your stomach stretching and ligaments loosening! Why not check with your midwife in the morning, we all get concerned when expecting don’t we, sending a big hug xx

Is this your first pregnancy? I think it’s most likely to be things stretching internally as PP said, if it’s your first it can feel very odd, and then everything can be more heightened anxiety wise. But deffo worth a mention to your midwife, if nothing else it will reassure you that baby is happy and healthy.

I have my first scan and midwife appointment on Monday so will ask then.

It’s my third pregnancy. I probably did have this with the first 2 but it’s such a blur!! It’s just weird cramping pains on and off. Bizarre.
