I just had my 32 weeks scan and they have noticed 11mm fluid on the left side of babies brain. Got to wait for fetal medicine to contact me with next steps. I am so scared and was wondering if anyone had anything similar?

Yes my son was found to have this on 34 week scan. He developed hydrocephalus and had shunt fitted at 6 weeks old. Couple of revisions in first year but nothing since. He's now 5.

Be aware I (and others) found fetal medicine team to be extremely negative. They basically told me to have an abortion. I said no and they kept on asking over and over. I asked to speak to neonatal team to find out more likely outcomes for the child as opposed to fetus.

Was your measurements 11mm? And did they increase on other scans or not?

@K230496 how did your pregnancy go? With the Mild ventriculomegaly, what was the outcome?
