When does blood volume increase most?

I’ve read that the volume of blood in your system can double during pregnancy.

Does anyone know when the volume of blood increases the most? I’ve read online that it’s in the first trimester, and then I also read that it’s at 30 something weeks.

Does anyone actually know the answer to this?

blood volume doesn't double but it does increase quite impressively though - usually by round about 1-2L (or by about 50% of the starting volume) over the period from around 6 weeks to around about 32 weeks. None of the ways of predicting exactly how much the increase in volume is are super helpful in real life.
