Low AFC before starting IVF journey

Hi all,

Never used mumsnet before! So hopefully I am using correctly! I was just wondering if anyone else has started IVF with a low AFC (of 7) and been successful? I had an AFC of 17 just last month, and was feeling so positive to start our journey next week! But after my baseline scan yesterday and AFC I am feeling a bit lost and deflated! Any experiences of this would be great ❤️ thank you! L x

Hi @Laurenmarie1985 it is certainly possible to be successful with an AFC of 7. However as you had 17 last month I wonder if you want to postpone to the next cycle? Do you know what your AMH is as that one does not fluctuate as much?

I’m sure you already know this but success will also depend on age, male factor, any underlying conditions etc.
