Low hCG levels at 18dpo?

I had my bloods done at 16dpo as I have a history of ectopics and miscarriages and my hCG was only 43 so I assumed it would be the same again this time but I had them done again today and they were 90, I know still low but they have doubled. I’ve never made it this far from getting a positive test before I’ve started bleeding which gives me hope as there’s been no sign of blood or pain however my first positive test was a week ago today so I’m thinking me levels should be way higher? They did a scan on me at 16dpo but couldn’t see anything yet which the lady said is normal for that early and I’m booked in for another scan on Tuesday but it feels like such a long wait to know and I think I’m going to go bankrupt from the amount of tests I’m buying 😂

Anyone had any similar experiences or can give any thoughts on where they think I stand?

I had an ectopic in Feb and now 5 weeks so in the same boat. From my many many Google searches it really isn’t the number that matters but the fact it’s doubling. I’ve seen loads of stories of lower hcg resulting in healthy pregnancies! The epu did tell me they won’t scan until your hcg is over 2000, I presume to definitely see a sac but mine is over that and they still won’t scan me🤣 so I wouldn’t be too concerned if they still couldn’t see anything next week xx

Thank you! Yeah hopefully they’ll be able to see where it is on Tuesday but there’s no way I’ll be anywhere near 2000 by then I’ve never heard of them not scanning until you get to that x

My epu is extremely crap so they probably made that rule up themselves 🤣🤣 they’ve booked my
first scan for 7 weeks even though mine ruptured then last time🙄 so I’ve just booked a private scan instead xx

My hcg was 140 at 17dpo so quite low however I am now almost 31 weeks pregnant. My bloods were done again at 19dpo and they had more than doubled. Then at 22dpo I was scanned as I was getting shoulder pain so they were worried it could be ectopic however they found the gestational sac and yolk sac in the correct place. I was then started on progesterone to take until 16 weeks as I had had a previous loss and was having some spotting with this current pregnancy. Wishing you both the best of luck 🤞
