Sorry for the long post and hope this isn't tmi I wasn't too sure where to post it. I'm in agony today and despairing so pleased help
:(
I'm 36 weeks with no2. Didn't have many physical problems with No1 but this time have what I assume is pgp. If I am sitting (eg long car journey) or standing for a long time I get pain , mostly on the right side only, kind of feels like a deep muscular ache within my butt cheeks to be honest, then radiating down the back of my right leg. Usually coupled with quite severe lower back pain. Comes on gradually and usually quite manageable.
However the one thing that triggers it to the point of being literally crippling is sex. We've tried everything and I won't be in pain at the time but within an hour or so, no matter what position or what we've tried to alleviate it, I get sudden deep shooting pains down my right leg, it makes me cry out in pain, I have literally been stranded in the middle of a room unable to walk and just crying. I can't put any weight on the leg without pain. Sitting down it's manageable, but I'm home with a toddler. Takes 48 hours to totally regain strength in the leg and leaves me feeling quite exhausted/shaky even when the pain has passed a bit.
Obviously we could just stop doing it altogether but I'm wondering if anyone has experienced similar and found a solution, either a way to dtd which doesn't cause pain, or something that will help alleviate the pain afterwards? Does this even sound like pgp? Paracetamol doesn't touch it.
I haven't spoken to the GP or anything because mostly it's perfectly manageable, it's only after sex that it's so bad.
