TTC need advice

Just wondering if anyone has any advice, i’m clueless when it comes to ovulation etc.. but me and my partner are trying to conceive. (this would be my second pregnancy)

I have the FLO app and i have been tracking my “period's” and “ovulation”, My cycle was 27 days in March but this month is 26 days..

The first day of my last period was 13th of May and due on my period in 12 days, so bascially the Flo App has calculated my ovulation days to be “22nd to the 28th” would this be correct?

Also when would I be able to take a pregnancy test? i know i should wait till missed period but im so eager!!
Thanks 🩷

Are you using ovulation tests rather than just an app? An ovulation test is the only way to really “know” when you ovulated, an app is just working off random dates.

I wouldn’t take a pregnancy test until my period was due/or missed but I know others like to start earlier.

if it’s only your second month tho I would keep it light and don’t pressure yourself. Once your period ends, have sex every other day or at least 3-4 times a week, right up till your period is due and then you should always hit your ovulation window. If your period is late, then test and see what happens x

oh and folic acid is recommended when ttc

I agree get yourself some ovulation tests !
also get familiar with signs of ovulation. You get different vaginal discharge around this time and it’s a good way of pin pointing ovulation so you know to have sex on that day. Be kind to yourself, it can take a few months to get pregnant even if everything is fine, and if you have come off hormonal contraception that can have an effect too.

but look out for the egg white blobs of discharge - that means you are ovulating and that gives you the best chance of getting pregnant !

Have a look at the Conception board here on Mumsnet for loads of threads that can help. (Talk > Becoming A Parent > Conception)

Track ovulation properly with ovulation tests - order Bulk cheapy LH test strips off Amazon.

Test when your period is due to avoid the utterly annoying "is this a line?"

Get some ovulation test strips, I just used the prenom ones from Amazon which you can upload to an app. I also was tracking with the flo app, but had been tracking periods for a while beforehand so it knew my cycle length etc.

I would test a day or two before my period and then for a few days afterwards. My first pregnancy I tested positive pre-missed period and my second I was positive after.

And to echo an above poster, you should already be taking folic acid
