Anyone know if you need to re wash prewashed bagged spinach or salads? Are they okay to have while pregnant? Thanks!

No idea of official guidance but ate them both through both recent pregnancies unwashed with no issue.

I always wash them and I’m not pregnant.

If you’re cooking spinach there’s no need to wash if, but I would usually unless the packet said it had been washed and ready to use. The packet will usually be clear whether something has been pre-washed or not (salad will always be pre-washed if it’s in a bag but spinach may or may not be).

When I was pregnant, my midwife said she would advise washing them. I always did anyway even when not pregnant. I’m sure any risk is minimal though but I always feel better doing it.
