Hi all,

First pregnancy, exactly 8 weeks pregnant today and having some symptoms that are worrying me slightly.

Caveat - I generally have major health anxiety and have been panicking since I found out I'm pregnant that something will go wrong.

This morning I am having some very mild cramps (very similar to my initial period cramps) and stretchy discharge that is slightly tinged pink/orange. Should I be concerned or is this normal?

If the worst is to happen what do you do? Do doctors/hospital even see you at this stage if you are concerned about miscarriage or is it too common for them to bother with? I have my first antenatal appointment next week so haven't see a midwife yet

Try not to panic yet. Cramps and spotting are very normal in the first trimester. I would contact your GP and see what they suggest xx
