I am currently 8 days away from my period (very regular cycles). I took this test last night and there’s the faintest line. I took another test this morning and was completely negative. Anyone have advice??? I am feeling anxious about not knowing and was really expecting it to be negative

I used this brand of tests and they test as early as 6 days before a period is due so I think you are testing too early. I do see something but it's hard to know if it's an indent or evap line. Wait 2 more days to test again and fingers crossed for you

8 days before period is far too early to get an accurate result. Most tests say 6 days before and even then they’re not that accurate.

It depends when you ovulated really as to when a positive will likely start showing up. If you have a regular standard cycle, 8 days before your period would only make you 6 days past ovulation which is far too early for a positive to show up. An embryo only starts to implant at the absolute earliest 5/6dpo as it isn’t formed enough before then. The HCG then needs to increase enough to at least 10miu (which is what most tests detect). HCG doubles every 2-3 days so it takes time to increase enough.
