Hi guys

Just looking for some advice, we have a wedding coming up at the end of the month. I'll be 36 weeks by then and struggling to find many shops that sells nice wedding guest dresses. I've got two options so far....

I quite like the floral one but do you think it's got too much white on?

Or if anyone has any recommendations for places to buy nice maternity dresses pls let me know!! This will probably be our last night getting dressed up until the boy arrives :)

I think they're both great for a wedding (one on the left doesn't have too much white on), but I think the blue one would be the more comfortable of the two if it's a warm day. 😊

I wore a lovely Seraphine wrap dress for a wedding a few years ago when I was 35w and massive, there’s some on Vinted if you go looking. I think the floral is beautiful and definitely not too much white!

ASOS Hope&Ivy have a good range

I’ll be heavily pregnant at two weddings this summer. I recommend going for the first style of the body con as they’re really flattering.
Shein actually do loads of bodycon dresses

Can I ask where these are from I’ll be in a similar Boat in a couple of months xx

I got a lovely hope and ivy dress from Vinted for a wedding at 31 weeks!

I’ve got a Tiffany Rose dress from Vinted that I’m going to wear to a wedding so that’s another one to look at.

ViaRia01 · 24/05/2025 18:21

Personally I found hope&ivy not great, in terms of quality. But I know lots of people would love it and they do have nice designs.

Tiffany rose is another brand for maternity formal/ occasionwear. Worth a look, although it is pricey!

I highly rate Seraphine. I had a few of their dresses - in fact if anyone wishes to find my pre-loved Seraphine dresses in size 12, I think you can search for my vinted profile with username: riatheduck

I’m keen tofree up the space in my wardrobe and have just reduced the prices

The floral white one is from Club L London. They do some lovely dresses if you prefer a fitted look that really shows the bump! I wore one to my friends wedding a few weeks ago and had lots of compliments.

The other is ASOS :) they do have a few nice maternity options I just find the sizing a bit off! I hope you find something lovely x

The blue one is hope & ivy 🥰 I've seen a few lovely ones on there but unfortunately none in my size!

Ah yes I've seen some lovely ones on Shein! The wedding is next weekend so if I had been a bit more organised I could have ordered a few to try 🫣 x

H&M mama actually have some quite nice event dresses. I had one from Tiffany Rose which was good quality but it was a gift and was not the colour I would have chosen.

AlorsTimeForWine · 25/05/2025 09:03

Vinted
I got some VERY expensive maternity dresses for £15 or so.

Wore them for whatever event and resold them for £10-15

Agree with hope and ivy being a weird fit
