Currently 31 weeks & 1 day. I had the RSV injection Tuesday, Wednesday woke up feeling pretty rough. Sore throat body aches. Midwife says this is common symptoms.

Now I feel like I am full of cold. Anyone else suffer with these side effects of the injection?

I had the RSV vaccination last Wednesday and was a bit wary as it has only recently started being offered to pregnant women - however, I spoke with the nurse and GP on seperate occaisions - who explained that it is not a new vaccine, there has just been a rise in RSV cases in newborns and small babies in recent years. They also told me that it was an 'old style' vaccine which carries antibodies rather than putting some of the RSV into your body like other vaccinations we have. So symptoms may not be due to the vaccine, could you have caught something from somewhere else?

I had the vaccination in pregnancy and no side effects 🤷‍♀️

I had the Midwife this Tuesday spoke to her about it, she said more likely picked up a cold but having the injection probably didn’t help at same time.

I had mine a couple of weeks ago and no symptoms . Even my arm wasn't sore. Felt worst after the flu vaccine tbh...

Hope you are feeling better soon. I’m pro choice with vaccines but almost lost my middle child to rsv and it’s complications so well done on getting it ❤️

No side effects here having had it at 28 weeks. I had COVID and flu in the first trimester and they completely wiped me out so happy to get away unscathed.

I had the vaccine and didn't have any problems at all.

Sounds like fairly mild side effects, or that you've picked up a cold.

Much better than your baby getting RSV.

@Annam08 I had it at 34 weeks and had no side affects but I was told just before they gave it to me that I could feel a bit poorly for a few days and to take paracetamol. They said if it hadn't gone in 3/4 days to chat to midwife/GP.
