Too early to tell

I did my first at home pregnancy test one week ago and have since had 7 positive CBD tests. Firstly displaying 1-2 weeks then 2-3 weeks. I had severe cramps through out the night and something felt wrong. Did another CBD the morning after and it had gone back to 1-2 weeks.
I went to see the doctor who did two pregnancy tests and both were negative (I had done two home test that morning and both had been positive) was referred to hospital and did another urine sample and had another negative. I requested bloods be taken and after a few hours wait they came back as positive (hcg level 80). They did an internal scan and nothing can be seen, no sac and no sign of ectopic pregnancy. Said I could be very early (3 weeks) so need to go back for more bloods tomorrow.

I am very confused and don’t know what to make of it all. Looking for advice or if anyone has experienced similar and if so what was the outcome?

You’re going back for more bloods

Just to find out if pregnant or another reason?

Otherwise I can’t understand why the hospital is paying for all these tests when you could just wait to see if miss period and then do a home test

@Justbidedmytime They always do two sets of bloods. You need to see whether the HCG is rising, one set in isolation won’t really tell you a lot. This common practice. This is especially important as in this case as the positives, pregnancy of an unknown location, and low HCG could be a sign of ectopic.

Do you know when you likely ovulated/conceived? I would wait until the second results come back so you can see if the levels are rising. In the meantime watch for signs of ectopic. When I had a pregnancy of an unknown location they didn’t pick up the ectopic for nearly a month despite weekly scans.

I had two sets of blood taken at 3 weeks pregnant. The hcg results were very low and not doubling but had increased very slightly. The hospital said it was most likely just far too early to tell but encouraged me to not test anymore and just wait and see.
i had some on and off bleeding for a few weeks and once I hit the 6 week mark, Epu scanned to make sure the pregnancy was viable. Any scan before 6 weeks,
even an internal one is unlikely to show anything as it’s far too early to see.

At my 6 week scan I seen all the right things and a strong heart beat. I now have a healthy 1 year old.

I’m sorry you’re going through all of this but I would suggest after your second blood test then you stop testing yourself and try arrange a scan for 6 weeks. It’s horrible going through this when you have no idea whay
The outcome will be but testing isn’t always reliable. All my tests were Incredibly faint and I never progressed from 1-2weeks.
