IVF pregnancies: when did you stop progesterone?

My doc is advising that I can stop lubion injections and oestrogen pills now. This seems very early? Has anyone else had this?

Im doing a modified natural FET where I ovulated myself with an Ovitrelle trigger and then got 2x per day Lubion injections (progesterone) and 2x per day Zumion (oestrogen) plus cyclogest (progesterone pessaries). He’s suggested I stop everything except cyclogest.

I’m 7 weeks exactly, had a healthy scan today with a heartbeat.

Hi hun normally guidelines on Tommy’s is 16 or18 weeks I think I can not remember but I was advised to stay on them till 34 weeks by my consultant. I’m 28 weeks now I would discuss with doctors as I had ivf and they advised to stay on them till 12 weeks. But I was already with Tommy’s team and was able to be seen by them who advised on 16 weeks, by then I had been seen by midwife and consultant who advised on 34 weeks hun. Don’t let them tell you other wise if you have had issues previously like MC etc push to be on them longer hopefully all goes well wishing you all the best xx

I was just on lubion injections until my 12 week scan x

Brentinger · 23/05/2025 21:57

12 week scan for me too to stop lubion

PixelRainbow · 24/05/2025 05:00

I stopped everything at 8 weeks xx

TheIceBear · 24/05/2025 06:54

Mine was a fully medicated fet and I stopped all medications apart from aspirin by end of week 8. Stopped aspirin at 12 weeks. I thought 8 weeks was early compared to what I’ve been reading online but I’m 36 weeks now and all ok so far

Congratulations on your pregnancy ❤️

My progesterone stopped at about 12 weeks.

I would clarify with your clinic if you're concerned.

@PixelRainbowthank you!! Was that a natural FET, modified natural, fully medicated or fresh cycle?

Mine was fully medicated FET, I was on lubion and had two pessaries a day, i was so happy to come off it all! I’ve just had my 20 week scan and everything is fine so far :)

It really depends on your own situation, there are so many options they will put you on.
I stopped my oestrogen injections at 4 weeks, others at 8 and cyclogest at 12. All different from friend’s similar FETs.
Query it it and set you mind at rest and enjoy your pregnancy 💐

Stopped just before 10 weeks. Couldn't stand it any longer

LongLiveTheLego · 24/05/2025 17:55

There is no risks in carrying on I would not stop before 12 weeks , ideally 16 weeks.

Is that oestrogen and progesterone? All of it or did you keep some of it like suppository and stop for example the injections?
