7 weeks pregnant tomorrow - loss of appetite but no “morning sickness”.

Just wondering what other peoples experiences were.

I had a scan that confirmed a heartbeat, so baby is in there…. Just not feeling the full effects yet, like I did by now with my son x

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

First baby no feelings of sickness whatsoever, second baby around week 6 or 7 but literally lasted a week and was very minimal, third baby was around 6/7 weeks again but lasted much longer and felt sick all day.

Every pregnancy is so different and hopefully you’ll get a pregnancy with no sickness at all! 🙏

I didn’t get any until 20 weeks, then it was mild and only triggered by teeth brushing and the smell of the dishwasher! But that lasted throughout

TY78910 · 22/05/2025 10:01

Congratulations! I was lucky enough to never get morning sickness with both kids. I had smell aversions, but never nausea or being sick.

PurpleTurtleMoose · 22/05/2025 10:30

Mine hit quite suddenly at about the 7 week mark, and was strong until about 16 weeks.

Onionringo · 22/05/2025 10:32

The morning after I'd polished off a massive Indian takeaway and announced that I was so glad I wasn't getting any sickness.

Lgn90 · 22/05/2025 10:42

Mine was the day I turned 6 weeks and lasted until week 12/13 - was never actually sick, just very nauseous!

Moosey898 · 22/05/2025 10:42

Between 6-7 weeks every time (5 first trimester pregnancies). But how bad it was had varied massively from almost not there, to throwing up every day and gagging multiple times with constant nausea.

MammaTo · 22/05/2025 10:44

I think mine was about 8-9 weeks in and lasted till about 17/18 weeks. Nothing too bad, it felt like a hangover when you don’t know if you’re hungry or need to throw up. Milk seemed to set it off the most and I had a real craving for apples.

LER2023 · 22/05/2025 14:43

Mine started from around 6 weeks and lasted until 9 weeks, im now 14 weeks and ive started feeling sick again when i eat certain things. Like i had a chicken salad wrap the other day and i couldnt eat it because the first few bites it made me feel sick😂
Theres still plenty of time!

DramaAlpaca · 22/05/2025 15:17

For me it started at 9 weeks with DC1, 12 weeks with DC2 (coincided with me stopping breastfeeding DC1) and 5 weeks with DC3.

In all three pregnancies it started easing off at 18 weeks and stopped completely at 20 weeks. It was horrible, I had constant nausea and occasional vomiting. Not fun.

Groundhogday2025 · 22/05/2025 17:31

Was sick as a dog pretty much from start to finish with DD. This time…. NOTHING. Not even nausea. I’m now 23 weeks and the heartburn has started, but otherwise…. Barely anything. I was worried in the early weeks because I just couldn’t believe how night and day my pregnancies were, but I’ve now got some lovely movement from the baby which is reassuring and all scans, bloods everything are all normal. So try not to worry if it’s not like your previous pregnancies. I’m proof that no two pregnancies are the same.

YellowPostIts · 22/05/2025 17:36

Started at six weeks. Stopped in the delivery room. 😆

I was throwing up in work, in shops, in restaurants - even in church 😳. About 10 -15 times a day.

But not to worry, that level of sickness is really uncommon. Most people just feel a bit queasy.

Mummaonherown · 22/05/2025 17:36

Started the day after I found out I was pregnant around 6 weeks. Lasted until 20 week mark. Was awful, constant nausea, vomited a few times but not severe. I felt like absolute rubbish.
Only food I could stomach and had a craving for was cheese and pickle sandwiches. I did loose a stone though!

Superscientist · 22/05/2025 19:49

Pregnancy 1 5.5 weeks through most of the pregnancy- daughter
Pregnancy 2 6 weeks - miscarriage at 10 weeks
Pregnancy 3 4 weeks - miscarriage at 10 weeks
pregnancy 4 ~8 weeks - currently 21 weeks

I had hyperemesis with the first three pregnancies but only had mild levels of nausea and vomiting with this pregnancy and didn't find out I was pregnant until the nausea started and i took a pregnancy test. So surprised when a scan a few days later dated me at over 8 weeks I was usually bed bound by then!

Cotswoldmama · 22/05/2025 20:07

With my first was sick and had nausea from 6 weeks exactly and it eased off by 12 weeks but I still had some food aversions, basically any cooked vegetable! With my second I had no sickness at all, both boys.

FairPlayer274 · 22/05/2025 20:12

pretty much immediately. With my first pregnancy, I took a test because I had felt tired and queasy for several days. I was 4 weeks LMP at that point. (Miscarried that one.)

Same with my second pregnancy, and then I had morning sickness pretty much the entire 42 weeks. Vomited during labour as well. The worst of it was from weeks 8-16; there were points I was so sick I was crying and telling my husband I “couldn’t do it” anymore.

Count your blessings now, I suppose, and keep your fingers crossed! I wouldn’t wish that on my worse enemy.
