.....really enjoying my pregnancy but always enjoyed nice clothes and cannot wait to get into them again.

So, this will either make me feel worse or much much better.

An average sized woman gets pregnant, how long does it take her to get back to her pre pregnancy weight??

Stories please.

I was a size 10/12 before pregnancy, and was so depressed after birth when I couldn't even do up size 14 jeans. However, 6 months on I was back to a size 12, so it does get better. If it cheers you up anymore, I don't diet or go to the gym, just walk a lot, and now that ds is 14 months I'm a size 8/10 and half a stone lighter than I was before I got pregnant. There is light at the end of the tunnel even though it may not seem that way now

I went back to pre-pregnancy size after a year. That was with no effort or interest whatsoever so i'd imagine if you give a toss it could be done quite quickly. All the pram pushing was a help and lifted my mood too.

oh a nice story - thank you..

I've never worked to be a size 10 and have always been lucky enough to fluctuate between a 10 and a 12...

Am hoping that when baby is here, with some brisk walking and swimming and (fingers crossed) breast feeding, i'll be able to get back to what I was....

'9m on, 9m off'

took me about 6wks though - I think bfing and walking miles with the pram helped

bf has helped me get back into my pre preg clothes - this time don't fit them at 7 months so I've got some nice things that do fit!

Agree with the 9 up, 9 down idea. Most of it seemed to come off quite rapidly, but there was a residual lardage that finally went when I stopped bfing.

However, unfortunately I don't think everything is where it started off.
