Hcg not doubling scan measures right for dates please help 🙏🏻

so I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago exactly at 4 weeks
clear blue said 2-3 weeks great I was thinking
I waited another week expecting 3 plus and it still said 2-3 😔 this has happened everytime I’ve had a miscarriage so I started to worry.
ive also had 4 HG pregnancy’s and even now at 5 weeks 4 days I’m still not feeling sick so that worry’s me along. But the concerning part really is my hcg is not doubling but scan shows sac and possible yolk sac measuring right for dates 🤷🏻‍♀️
my first hcg was 3100
second one 48 hours later was 4895
the hospital just said it hasn’t risen like we would like and no more I’m still waiting for someone to call me with a plan.
I’ve had some brown spotting
has anybody else had hcg that has risen like this before?
im guessing I can rule out ectopic as a scan shown sac in my womb please help im going out of my mind 😔

I was told that hcg slows down its doubling around 5 weeks. When was the initial hcg of 3100 done?

It was done at exactly 5 weeks from lmp x

My clinic told me hcg slows down around this time and they’d be happy with 60% increase in 48 hours, yours is just a bit below but still a very good number to be fair. Hopefully your clinic comes back with a plan. It’s a good sign that your initial scan matches your weeks. Perhaps they’ll do another scan in a week or two to see progress. And hopefully spotting goes soon. Fingers crossed it all goes well xx

yes it works out at like a 55 percent doubling time doesn’t it 😔 xx

It’s on the suboptimal end and combined with the brown spotting I’d be cautious of getting too hopeful - however - hcg doubling times are not a perfect science, hcg is an estimate and doesn’t give you a definite - only a scan can do this and yours is ok so far…

optimally, hcg should double in 48-72 hours - everyone fixates on the 48 but for
many people it’s more 72 - you’re on track for a 3 day / 72 hour doubling time which is in range (just)

mine was 70% at 5 weeks and I was marched to A&E - I’m 15w now and scans have been fine.

id get another in a few days and see how it’s going - or if you can, hold out until 6/7 week scan for a definitive answer x

brown spotting stopped after a day luckily but them numbers worry me and the fact I normally suffer HG but this time I don’t have a wiff of nausea 🤦🏻‍♀️
I’ve been for another blood test today and I have a scan for next Wednesday.
the wait is awful

@Mummy5alwaystired Yes i had my hcg levels done, they were doubling but much lower than yours (although not sure when yours were done?). I’m just waiting for my scan. Good luck - i hope the blood test and scan results are positive.

I had another blood test with was 8934 so still didn’t double as that was 4 days after but I’ve had a scan today and I was measuring 6 weeks 2 days with a heartbeat…I was very shocked, . I’m still so worried.

@Mummy5alwaystired i didn’t get my hcg rechecked anymore but they were doubling every 50 hours i think based on the online calculator i found. Very pleased you saw a heart beat! I also had a scan yesterday which showed a heartbeat but 3 days behind in terms of measurement. I’m IVF so I thought I should be bang on so a bit nervous but nurse reassured that’s still ok.

congratulations ❤️ glad you scan went well I’m also measuring 3 days behind too, hoping it’s nothing to worry about but with my dodgy hcg numbers I just cannot help but still worry xx

@Mummy5alwaystired same, it’s just endless worrying! Did they tell you the rate of the heart beat? Don’t worry if not it looks like a lot of clinics don’t measure the rate at the early weeks.

Just wanted to update the post incase anybody was looking in the future
due to my lack of HG in this pregnancy I pushed for another scan and baby sadly had no heartbeat… looks like it had stopped 3 days after the last scan 😔 no bleeding or anything to signal this.
second loss in 6 months. Heartbroken to say the least but glad I trusted my instincts.
