Palpitations at night

Is it normal to get palpitations/racing heart in the evening when going to bed when pregnant. It's making me anxious but I think that's a result of the palpitations/racing heat rather than the other way around. No issues in the day time. Just when I lie down to go to bed in the evening since second trimester.

Ask for blood tests and get your thyroid checked.

Thank you @YinYangalang Will do. I've got terrible palpitations again this evening.

It can be hormonal. I had palpitations whilst pregnant and again as a peri menopause symptom. Worth getting checked out regardless though.

@Mothersruin123 ah that's interesting. Have you found anything to help with peri-related palpitations?

HRT has eliminated it almost entirely. I get it now and again when trying to get to sleep…less than once a month though. Before HRT I was getting for days at a time, and like you was making me anxious. Not fun, you have my sympathy.

I get them with acid reflux.
