Maternity allowance. Can anyone explain how to work out gross weekly earnings🙈😳

I have been told I need to send 4 payslips….. wages vary each month, so I know I send highest 4.

then what do I do? Do I add the 4 highest ones together and divide by 13? That will give me what I am suppose to get weekly ? Thanks ☺️

Isn’t maternity allowance fixed? It’s not based on your earnings is it?

I’ve looked it up - £187 a week or 90% of your average weekly earnings, whichever is less.

As long as 90% of your weekly earnings is £187 or more, you’ll get £187 a week. The same as statutory (apart from the first 6 weeks) if you earned less than £187 on average it’ll be lower, in line with your average earnings.
