Hey guys, I’m 25 weeks pregnant now and experiencing what I believe are braxton hicks. My belly goes tight and I have cramps. I was just wondering if it’s normal to get them so often? I experience it atleast once a day, sometimes twice. They always vary randomly in pain and length, no patterns. Sometimes it’s a weak cramp with tightening, other times I have to focus on breathing for about 30 seconds. They last anywhere from 10 seconds to about a couple of minutes, in varying degrees of discomfort/pain.

Anyone else experience these every day?

I'll be 38 weeks on sunday!!!! And I've experienced them since I was around 25 weeks as well!! You can always bring it up to your doctor or midwife just in case, cause everyone's body is different... but I've noticed it's just been normal for my pregnancy... I think I have an irritable uterus or something.. I swear I get them like 50 times a day... probably more! I stopped counting. 😬 mine comes with cramps here and there... but if you're stopping to catch a breath sometimes it's probably a good thing to bring up at your next appt! 😁

I had them since 18 weeks in first pregnancy, since 16 weeks in this pregnancy. They’re not
regular but I experience at least a few an hour now, at 28 weeks,
so probably 40-50 times a day. Worse if walking on a full bladder or toddler bumping against my stomach. It did make me anxious in my first pregnancy, but second time round I know it’s very normal and just irritable uterus. By 37/38 weeks it was agony and would wake me up every half hour or so at night! Midwives denied it was BH when I first went in with it around 19/20 weeks panicked I was in early labour. They seem to think they can’t happen that early but they definitely can!
