Hello. I'm 40+10 today. I went in for some monitoring yesterday through my own choice and they tried to keep me in because in an hour monitoring there was one dip in babys heartbeat but they were happy with everything else. I said im going home to wait for a bed rather than wait there as I'm not concerned. ive woken up and when I've gone toilet I've had mucus lost but this time with a bloody show. Ive got a feeling they'll call me in today to start induction but if ive had a bloody show this late then could I go into labour soon? Hoping it happens before I go in. Im very open to having an induction and i know its not always negative but want to avoid ofcourse. 2nd baby. Thankyou

Sounds like you are going into labour anyway, which would be picked up on the monitor before they start your induction. It might be you've dilated enough for them to break your waters and not need any hormonal help and that will kick things off for you. I'd definitely go back if there was a heart rate dip. Best of luck!

@Springadorable thankyou for this. I hope that's the case as when they checked yesterday they said they wouldn't be able to break waters. The dip was right at the beginning of the monitoring and once I changed position everything else was okay plus the baby was moving alot so doctor didn't have much to say when I mentioned those things. It was more as if they HAVE to tell me to stay because of policy but they werent as concerned.

Yes, stay home as long as possible in my opinion.
