7+3 Bleeding

Just looking for some reassurance…

Im 7+3, I had a scan yesterday evening that showed I was measuring 7+3 with a heartbeat. It was an ultrasound not internal scan.

Since this morning I’ve had some brown discharge, I had a little bit on Monday too. It’s just when I wipe, nothing on a pad.

Has this happened to anyone else? I had a bit of bleeding on and off in my last pregnancy with DS1. Do you think I’m likely to be miscarrying so quickly if I saw a fetus with heartbeat yesterday?

Yep. Happened to me with a larger bleed at 12 /13 weeks. Kid is now late teens. In fact I spotted on and off my entire pregnancy l. I know it’s hard not to worry but why don’t you give the EPU a call. When I was bleeding they told me to go straight up there and i was scanned All the very best

I bled on and off in early pregnancy, it was really scary. I think once a heartbeat has been seen, the risk of miscarriage is much lower. I know it can still happen but this really reassured me and helped me stay positive. Could you pay for a private scan in a week or 2? I had a few extra scans and found it really reassuring

I called EPU a couple of times with bleeding in my last pregnancy and they weren’t very helpful tbh, they didn’t see me for a scan, said it sounded normal.

Yes, i had an episode of brown spotting at about 8 weeks and some red spotting at 16 weeks

No explanation, all was fine

Sex can trigger spotting, though this wasn't the case for me
