Positive pregnancy test - twins?

hi

I have a Easyblue 6 day early pregnancy test. I was getting cramps and felt like I was pregnant so I used it 7 days before my period date and got a positive pregnancy test which is great.

I’m now 4 days before my expected period date and didn’t have any of the 6 day early tests. I just tried a normal Easyblue test which is meant to be used on my expected period date and again it’s gone positive.

Again really happy! But this isn’t my first baby and I’ve not tested positive until 2 days before my period. We’ve only had sex once in the month and it was when I had just got a positive ovulation stick.

Has anyone had this before for a single pregnancy? I’ve had a google as to why this might be because I didn’t test positive this early for either of my kids before and it suggests twins.
Thanks.

I’m one of those people who know I’m pregnant before my period is due. With my first I didn’t test until after my period was due because I couldn’t believe I was that lucky, with my second I recognised the symptoms and tested about 5 days before my period was due and the clear blue said pregnant and it was a single baby.

Congratulations!

Thank you. Was it a baby girl you had by any chance? Ive read that girls have higher levels of HcG. Wondering if that could be the reason maybe.

It was a boy.

Higher order multiples for me! Non ivf and planned! Good luck!

How early did you test positive for the twins/triplets please?

I tested positive 6 days before a missed period on a regular test, not a super early one and he was a singleton. I’ve always known I’m pregnant before a missed period on all of them (three girls, one boy) but with the others tested positive at 9 DPO.

Thank you for this. Reassuring! Not sure we could handle twins as this is meant to be our last pregnancy!!

So did you test positive earlier for all the girls than the boy? Maybe that’s the reason with me.

It could just be an earlier implantation, can happen at 6DPO or as late as 12 DPO. I got my positive 6 days before missed period, it is a singleton and a boy.

I tested earlier for the boy than the girls oddly! Never had my HCG levels checked but certain when I ovulated so could have been early implantation like another poster said. It’s so scary thinking it may be twins (I had that concern too as our boy was our last baby) but it could be so many things!

This isn't a thing. I had an early positive with a boy.

HCG levels are only slightly different later on in pregnancy.

I have a dye stealer before my period with a single (boy) pregnancy. Pregnancy tests offer yes/no results. We have twins in the family so I was ultra aware.

Do you have all boys by any chance?

You seem determined to make it a thing that it must be twins or a singleton girl.

My twins, the line was so faint the doctor told me it was a chemical pregnancy.

No I have one boy and one girl. The boy I didn’t find out until after my missed period, and the girl I found out 2 days before. That’s why I was wondering whether it might be a pattern.

It really can't possible be due to the sex of the baby. There are so many other factors so I wouldn't worry about it.
