HELP!! More likely conception date

No judgement please, I’m aware this isn’t a good situation to get yourself in..

I got a strong positive, later afternoon on the 10th of May. This was roughly 18/19 days after conception first date. And 12 days after second conception date.

Is there any way to tell when I conceived, based on pregnancy test lines?

What was the first date of your last period and how long are your cycles?

What dates did you have sex?

Do you mean the positive test was 18/19 days after having sex the first time, and 10 days after having sex the second time?

First date of my last period was the 14th of April, usually a shorter cycle around 26 days with 4-5 day periods.

BUT! Sperm can survive for quite a while in the fallopian tubes, and since you don't know when you ovulated.....it's hard to call.

if you’re asking in regard to “who’s the father” then I think a dna test is your only option as the dates are so close and as others have said sperm can survive. Nowadays a dna test can be done quite early ie a couple of months into pregnancy. Obviously you will still need swab samples from the potential father(s).

While the 27th is more likely, it’s not impossible to have been the 18th.

Which date are you hoping for, OP?

Ok if I tell you my previous pregnancy dates can you tell me if this changes anything? Do I ovulate early?

It’s unlikely to be 18th as you would only be cycle day 4.

Date of ovulation is the key. Knowing your period dates and when you had sex doesn't help so much.

Would a scan give any more clarity?

I don't think so, since again, it depends when you ovulated! Conception was either with fresh sperm from guy2 or sperm from guy1 that survived a while. It all depends on the release of the egg.

A DNA test would give clarity

Yep that's too vague. Your app doesn't know beyond what you input. You would have needed to be doing LH strips and also BBT to pinpoint accurately.

You would get a positive 2 weeks after ovulation. That's what it comes down to and if you weren't tracking then it's too close a call.

Get a Dna test for clarity.

It’s often quoted that sperm can live for five days but when you actually read the research paper that this claim has come from, in fact the vast majority of sperm only survive 48 hours, with something like only 0.1% of them surviving the fabled five days!

Given you’ll have ovulated approx 26th April (based on your cycle length and a two week luteal phase) then the second chap is your guy.

It could be either. I have short cycles too and got pregnant with 4 day old sperm!
