Had an early scan today and feeling worried

I thought I was 6+1 but I went for an early scan today as I’ve had one sided pain, pregnancy is the right place thankfully. But they’ve dated me a week behind and can only see a gestational sac. Has this happened to anyone else and been okay? I need some positive stories right now 😭🩵

Do you know exactly when you ovulated or could it have been late? Are they rescanning in a week?

5+1 is really early. I went for a scan at about 5+4 and it took the lady ages to find anything. After about 10 mins of an internal she spotted something. They say about 5.5 weeks for the next stage to be seen so I wouldn't panic at this stage.

Have they asked you to come back?

Are your dates 100% accurate? You could be a couple of days earlier than they've said.

All the best x

My last period was April 1st, I know my fertile window, and my partner works away and was only home one weekend that month. So date could be correct I guess but I found out over 2 weeks ago 🤣 they have said I can book a scan in 10 days time or wait for my 12 weeks scan. She said she’s not worried and it can go either way, that everything looks as expected

You can always book a private scan if you're willing to pay or like they said get one for 10 days time or wait the 12 weeks. Entirely depends on what you're happy with ☺️

@PockerMausyeah that’s very true, I think I’ll wait till the 12 week scan so I don’t cause myself anymore worry. That way I know for definite. I am very lucky to have children already, never had issues with those pregnancy’s so never had to have an early scan etc. thank you so much for replying
