Hi! I started this thread because I’m ttc cycle 1, a year after my first pregnancy that ended with D&C due to doctors order because I was taking high risk meds (Arava) for psoriatic arthritis. I moved to other country and changed meds to suit my pregnancy planning. Now I am taking Cimzia and it’s a great time to tcc. Since I have autoimmune condition, I often do check-ups with my doctor, regular at obgyn, regular blood tests etc. In general, I am healthy but my joints are affected pretty much (11 years since diagnose) and I am interested if there is someone here with the same diagnose to share their experience with their pregnancy and birth. It would be really helpful to know what are the possibilities and what could I do more to go through pregnancy and birth journey in the best and healthiest way I can. Thank you in advance, every post means alot to me 💖💪

I’ve had PsA for 25 years, since I was a teenager, and had my DS nearly 6 years ago. I was on Humira when I got pregnant and stayed on it until the third trimester when I came off it. I was fine during pregnancy but had a massive flare about 6 weeks pp. I went back on Humira but it didn’t work as well so I switched to Cimzia but that also didn’t work so I’m now on a third biologic. Having a newborn during a flare was not great but it was manageable with painkillers and steroids.

Thank you! So, flare ups could get worse pp? I am not still in remission but I hope it would be beneficial to get pregnant and hope to reach remission (as my doctor advised). Also, I have hip problems but hope to make it to natural birth. It helps knowing there are people who made it 💪
