Im 41+1 today. I had my first son at this exact time but I think this baby needs 3 or 4 more days (maybe). I am starting to get thigh labour (bloody awful) which is intensifying and I believe thats a sign but how long did you wait before finally saying yes to an induction? I don't want to wait too long and it cause any problems after but have refused yesterday and today as I definitely don't want to say yes so soon. Im thinking after 41+5 but would love to hear experiences. Ill be giving birth at Calderdale ( Halifax). Thankyou x

My hospital didn't want to induce due to a previous c section but gave me an 'elective' c section at 42+2 (they picked the date). I think that was largely because of the weekend though.

@thepurgebegins Sending lots of positive vibes and hoping things get started for you soon 🤞🏼😊
I ended up with an induction at 39+5 for medical reasons so have no experience of being overdue but just wanted to share that I had a very positive induction - I know it tends to be mainly horror stories.
First pregnancy, large baby, back to back labour, induced at 39+5. Took around 44 hours so was pretty long and was during Covid so I was alone for most of it unfortunately but that was the only negative. Used gas & air for pain relief, no other interventions needed, single internal stitch for a small internal tear, baby born at 3am and I was home by 3pm.
It can be a positive experience too 😊
