8mm cyst on baby’s kidney 16 weeks- help

I today ironically went for a private reassurance scan at ultrasound direct where they found a 8mm cyst on my baby’s right kidney, they said bladder is full and amniotic fluid is fine so the other kidney atleast is working. My midwife is referring me to fetal medicine.

I'm in a complete mess. It’s taken years of ivf and losses to get to this point. I’m reading mixed things. I've read on all things it could turn out to be, ranging from nothing to worry about to fatal. Can anyone help?

Are you anywhere near Oxford?
My baby was born with an unusual cyst which was spotted at my 20 wk scan, operated on at 10 weeks and was absolutely fine. The team at Oxford were brilliant, at the time headed by Rowena Hitchcock.
"Baby" is now in her 20s & never had any problems due to the cyst removal.

I know it's terrifying. All you want to do is protect your baby & for everything to be fine.
Hope you get a happy ending. Just hang on in there 💐
