Baby measuring small at 27 weeks.

I had my first growth scan last week (27+2) and baby was in 13th percentile. Dr said whilst small is still within normal range. They said that baby's abdomen was slightly smaller than expected (I think from memory of the scan it was just over 25 weeks) but head and femur were more in line with date.
Baby was being awkward and Dr said they'd rather see me again in 2 weeks as first pregnancy and they said they'd rather be overly cautious than not.
Has anyone else experienced this and what was the outcome? Most posts I've seen have been baby is just small in general or a different measurement was small. I've also read all different things about the smaller AC measurement, although probably shouldn't Google. I'm a nervous wreck waiting for my next appt and so worried, although the Dr said not to be! Hmm

Try and not worry (easier said than done I know), but some babies are just smaller than others. Not all babies can be 50th centile or above.

Sending hugs.

I was told with my second he would be small, even my last scans at around 35+ weeks they said he would be around 4-5lbs born… he was 8lbs 4oz so not a tiny baby after all the worrying
and even if your baby is small, I wouldn’t worry too much some babies are just smaller than others and that’s just how they are meant to be 💜

I had multiple scans with my first due to concerns about measuring too small etc etc etc. I was very worried, but baby was 9’lb3oz on arrival and perfectly formed (and now towers over me!). Scans of subsequent DCs also turned out to be wildly inaccurate. I learned to take them with a generous pinch of salt (and just enjoyed extra sightings of my babies if given more scans)

Thank you all, that has given me some reassurance. Everything was measuring well until this scan although at our private scan the sonographer did say this is the time when the growth changes properly start for each baby, but I just assumed (like most people I'm sure) ours would stay on the"right track" as such.
I'd rather they'd say nothing and just say yes we'll see you in two weeks, saves unnecessary worrying. Just hoping all goes well next week.
