Advice on fluconazole in 2nd trimester

Hi, I'm 24 weeks pregnant. Had oral thrush for 2 weeks which isn't clearing up with nystatin oral solution. Saw GP today who has taken a swab to confirm it is thrush, but said only treatment option will be fluconazole. I'm so scared of taking anything during pregnancy, nevermind something that's contraindicated. Most research I can find has only looked at use in the first trimester. Has anyone taken fluconazole in the 2nd or 3rd trimester? I think it will be a low dose (50mg) for 7 days. Am deciding whether it will be worth just putting up with the thrush but I'm not sure how safe that is either as I still have quite a way to go. Any advice from midwives or GPs would be much appreciated if any happen to look at this!

I would try a pharmacist. They usually know more about drug options is less common scenarios. All the best. I know the horror of chronic thrush.
