Hi Ladies
I’m currently 8 weeks pregnant . 2 years ago I suffered a miscarriage at 10 weeks which I found traumatising. Once finding out I was pregnant this time , I rang the early pregnancy care unit and they started me on progesterone straight away . I take that vaginally twice a day . I’m 42 years of age and my youngest is almost 17 ? The last two weeks I have been so so tired , constipated and really sore breasts and I have no energy . If I get comfy at all I’m asleep within minutes . But then wake so early in the mornings and can’t go back asleep . I’m so so nervous after what happened two years ago . I have my scan on Wednesday and I’m absolutely bricking it . Also I read that if you miscarry while on progesterone you won’t bleed so you won’t actually know till u get the scan done which has me even more nervous . Just wondering has anyone else here been on the progesterone or if anyone my age has gone through this . Thanks ladies and sorry for the long rant

Hey lovely, sorry to hear about your MC, and congratulations on the pregnancy!
I had a missed MC with my first pregnancy in December last year, where I didn’t have any bleeding or any kind of signal that I’d lost the baby and I wasn’t on progesterone then. I tested positive with this pregnancy at the end of feb this year and have been on progesterone twice a day from about 5 weeks. I did have a little spotting at 5 weeks which prompted them to put me on it, and had a little more spotting at 14 weeks but everything is fine with the baby and I’m currently 15 weeks with my little rainbow boy💓
Im not sure if the extreme tiredness is the progesterone or just general pregnancy symptoms but all the symptoms you’re experiencing sounds like everything I experienced.
Hope everything goes well for you xx

Hi, really sorry to hear about your loss.
Progesterone doesnt mask a miscarriage and you will still bleed.
I have had 3 miscarriages all within 16 months. I genuinly had no hope for a pregnancy, all my pregnancies lasted until 6 weeks on the dot and then id miscarry.
I started progesterone 3 days into my pregnancy im putting it up vaginally 2x a day and im now 13 weeks and 3 days, we have a healthy baby, healthy heartbeat which is the first heart beat in all my pregnancies, And i have bled! Ive bled at 4 weeks and 13 weeks now, It was a hematoma that was making me bleed and the blood was bright red, as you can imagine i was scared to death and rang triage they sent me for a scan yesterday and the baby is absolutely fine!! Still wriggling around, still got a beautiful heartbeat, still measuring what they should be. I dont think id have come this far without progesterone!
