Positives stories of metaclopramide helping sickness…

I’m desperate to hear any positives of metaclopramide helping morning sickness.
I was prescribed cyclizine at first which did help but as I’ve hit 8 weeks it’s not helping anymore. I’ve just been prescribed metaclopramide but I can only find bad stories about it 😭

I had severe sickness in my last pregnancy and cyclizine on its own worked so now I’m desperately hoping for some relief with this new medication.

If you don’t agree with medication in pregnancy for this, please just pass by without a comment and be grateful you don’t understand the severity of it.

Go back to doc and insist on being prescribed Xonvea. It's made for pregnant people ! GP's are just reluctant to offer it because it's soo expensive to make. I had 5 different meds and IV fluids in hospital before they prescribed it but it changed my life. There was a previous thread similar to this and everyone said ask for Xonvea.
Metaclopramide did nothing for my sickness.

It’s only available in certain places in the UK and where I live is one where it isn’t available 😭

Cyclizine worked for me but metoclopramide didn’t. You may need a combination of anti sickness medications so keep going back if it’s not helping. I hope you find the perfect combination soon 🙏🏼

Hi OP, I found metoclopramide helped to some extent in my second pregnancy. I initially tried cyclizine from weeks 9-13 then my consultant recommended using metoclopramide as well. I took both till around 20 weeks and this combination alleviated the nausea enough so I could eat a little, keep fluid down and I generally felt more human. Both medications made me more tired but no other side effects. The sickness subsided significantly at 20 weeks for me. Really hope it works for you!
