Hcg levels

Hi all,
Please could you have a look at my hcg levels below and let me know what you think?
9dp5dt 123
11dp5dt 256 - At this point the nurse said she’s happy and no need to recheck.
16dp5dt 1315 - Clinic wanted to check my progesterone so I requested for hcg as well and this is the result. So it’s been 5 days since last hcg and accdg to the beta calculator I found online it’s doubling every 50 hours (so not quite the ideal 48 hours).

Nurse said the latest hcg is fine but that I can have another hcg in a few days if I want. It’s £88 per test and I don’t know if it’ll just bring anxiety rather then reassurance if I get it checked again? I have my first scan booked next week when I’ll be 6+3, all being well.

For those of you who monitored your hcg - are my numbers ok or at the low end?

I do not have any symptoms apart from slightly tender breasts so feeling a bit anxious.

The doubling range is actually 48-72 hours so those are fine numbers.

mine was only increasing 70% over 48 hours (made me more anxious) and I’m 14+ weeks now. I’d say wait for the scan, that’s the best indicator, HCG varies wildly it’s not a perfect science.

I never had mine checked after the first positive blood test at the clinic so I wouldn’t have known. It sounds within normal range.

Good luck!

@Xwx1010 do you mind sharing what your levels were? And yes my husband and I are leaning towards just waiting for the scan next week.
I’m just so anxious. :( I’m actually wishing to have morning sickness or nausea! I have my first therapy booked tomorrow so hopefully that will help.
Congrats on reaching 14+ weeks, it must have been a relief getting through the first trimester? I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well and uneventful.

@MsDDxx thank you, my clinic only recommends hcg if the home preg test is inconclusive actually! But i’m just a very anxious person and felt like I needed to see some numbers before my 6 week scan! How far along are you? Best of luck i wish you a very healthy pregnancy.

Honestly there’s not much point sharing the numbers as it’s not a precursor to things being ok or not, the range is HUGE, but it was about 3,000 when I was 5+2 and 5000+ when I was 5+4 (20dp5dt) It was a 70% raise over 48 hours.

after 3 losses and IVF I do understand how much of an anxious time it is, whilst it’s nice to have made it to the 2nd trimester I’ve still a lot of anxiety about anomaly scans etc.
my overall advice is urine line darkness is pointless past 5 weeks, not doubling in 48 hours isn’t a perfect science and the only thing that will really provide reassurance is the scan.

i had tiredness and increased thirst at about 6 weeks and some nausea. I was fine and dandy at 5w.

Wishing you all the best (there is a pregnant after IVF thread in the infertility forum if you’re interested in this).

@Xwx1010 I’m so sorry for your previous losses, and thanks for talking some sense into me I really appreciate it. I will find said thread - thanks again.
