How to deal with the last few weeks at work before maternity leave?

Hello all! I am struggling a lot with my concentration and motivation at work at the moment. Im usually very career focused, a hard worker and a high performer and can feel myself slipping a little, it’s a weird feeling because I don’t want to tarnish my reputation but at the same time I’m struggling to care that much. I work from home full time in a desk based job, so I know I am very lucky.

I’m 33 weeks pregnant and going on leave from 38 weeks. I have planned my leave to take a full year off and then use my carried over holiday for a phased return next year so I don’t have much left to use this year. I actually don’t want to go off any earlier as I think I will be bored just waiting but I need help on how to deal with the last few weeks! Any tips or tricks will be v appreciated!

I found it quite helpful to write a list of the things I wanted to achieve in that time, which gave me some work related focus.

And - it’s inevitable in the weeks before you go on may leave that your work will dial down a bit, so just don’t pressurize yourself over it.

I'd have my feet up and do all the things I never get round to - filing emails, catching up on any industry news or CPD. start to have catch ups with anyone you want to say "bye for now" to etc.
