Hey, it's really common for it to be low at 20 weeks. The uterus is still really small and placenta quite big in comparison, so not much space and in turn many will be low to start out with. Most will move upwards as the uterus stretches. They'll rescan you 32-34 weeks to make sure. Some low lying placenta are prone to causing a bit of bleeding as they move so make sure to go straight in if any bleeding. Try not to worry as it is just a variation of normal at this stage.

Thank you lovely! I really hope mine moves! It’s actually worried me since I found out yesterday. But I’m sure all is good x

Yep I did with baby #1, found out at 20 weeks. The sonographer was very casual about it all and didn’t tell me to change anything about my lifestyle. I had no bleeds and then at the 32 week scan the placenta was well clear. I think 9 out of 10 move? Hopefully all will be fine for you too

Yeah the person who scanned me was very casual about it too. But I’m not going to worry as hopefully it moves :)
