Maternitywear shops near London KX?

I desperately need some maternity clothes and realise I will have about an hour to spare on a train journey through London later this week. I don't think an hour is enough time to get from Kings Cross/Euston area to Oxford Street and do any shopping, otherwise I'd go to TopShop etc. Does anyone know if there's anywhere nearer Kings Cross for maternity wear? I'm afraid it's not really the right sort of area, so probably not...

I doubt it. It's pretty horrible around there I'm afraid. But I agree it will be a stretch to get anywhere else, shop and back within an hour.

I think you'd struggle to find much near Kings Cross with such a short timeframe. There is a Gap and a M&S near Angel (5 min bus ride) but I don't think either of them do maternity...

I had a similar quest a few weeks ago whilst waiting for a train at kings cross and couldn't find anywhere nearby!

There used to be a SUPER expensive maternity wear shop in ANgel called somehting like Push or Shove.
There's a Formes up in Hampstead, Rosslyn Hill, which you could get to if you taxi-ed both ways...

littlefrog · 19/05/2008 14:44

You could walk down to the Brunswick Centre, about 8/10 minutes away. There's quite a few clothes shops there but I'm not 100% sure if they stock maternity wear.

There is a Dorothy Perkins near Tottenham Court Road tube which might not be so bad to get to/from. Not sure if they do maternity though but you could call (020 7255 2116).

Just remembered that there is a Monsoon just opened in St Pancras Station which might have something. It's not very big though so probably not...

Not much around that area I'm afraid (apart from dodgy looking hotels...!)
