Leg cramps

Can anyone recommend anything for leg cramps whilst sleeping? I have to quickly rub my legs to try and get it to go away. It’s so SOA painful and happening multiple times whilst sleeping. I have heard magnesium can help, has anyone tried this?

Yes magnesium is excellent. You can take a pill at bed time, use a leg spray or have a bath with epsom salts.

When you get the cramp can you manage to stretch your leg out gently and point your toe, then bring your knee up towards your chest repeat 3 or four times just slow and gentle, it will give you great relief and you're less like to feel it still niggling the next morning. I used to get a lot of cramps and this really helped me.

Stupid amounts of magnesium. I prefer the the spray oil. You can use it directly on your legs plus in your armpit (not after shaving). Plus Epsom salt baths.
I found the magnesium that you eat/drink gives me a funny tummy.

I took “leg cramp busters” for the last three months of 4 pregnancies as I could not sleep because of the cramps. Crazy! Also got magnesium body butter with lavender from boots which was nice

I had this, legs cramps were awful during pregnancy! I used magnesium cream and spent at least 5 minutes stretching my leg muscles right before bed. That helped make the cramps less severe.

They did stop as soon as dd was born
